Communities Beyond Crisis Part 2: Agroecology and Food Sovereignty Following Disaster

The frequency of natural disasters has been increasing over the past two decades. Despite increased investment and advances in hazard-management technology, human and economic losses from disasters have been rising worldwide.

This lecture series, in partnership with Pratt Institute, will bring in experts and activists to talk about how the state of disaster relief, and to move our communities beyond crises. This event will focus on Agroecology and Food Sovereignty with a discussion with three activists from Puerto Rico, Ana Elisa Pérez Quintero, Magha Garcia Medina and Elda Guadalupe Carrasquillo.
