Professor Mia White Reflects on Feminism for the 99%
In a recent article in Browsings, The Harpers Blog, Mia White, Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies and Tishman Center Affiliated Faulty shared her thoughts on the strike on International Women's Day, 2017. Dr. White focused on her response to students who have come to her feeling unsure about what to do in light of the current political situation in the United States. Her answer: adopt a revolutionary practice that embraces uncertainty and resists injustice by thinking from a heterogeneous perspective. She encourages her students to seek to understand the ways that anti-blackness, patriarchy, nationalism, and white supremacy affect everyone, and move forward from there.
