PURCHASE MOSSVILLE

Mossville, Louisiana, a community founded by formerly enslaved African Americans, was once a thriving, safe haven. Today it’s a breeding ground for petrochemical plants and their toxic black clouds. Many residents are forced from their homes; those that stay suffer from prolonged exposure to contamination and pollution. Amid this chaos stands one man, Stacey Ryan, who refuses to abandon his family’s land and fights for basic human rights in this powerful portrait of resilience.

Mossville is available as an exclusive 48hr VOD rental for $12 May 7th-14th. 50% of all ticket sales will go directly to supporting Maysles.

We are working out kinks in our streaming platform. If you are experiencing difficulty viewing this film check out the Virtual Cinema FAQ or contact us at virtual@maysles.org

Due to the nature of this screening we are unable to offer sliding scale ticketing prices. A portion of all ticket sales from Mossville will go to directly supporting Maysles Cinema and our documentary education programs for young people in Harlem during these uncertain times. We continue to be incredibly grateful for our engaged and resilient community and their support. If you would like to make an additional donation to Maysles Documentary Center you can follow THIS LINK.
