[EXTERNAL] Design and the Circular Economy

  • Tishman Environment and Design Center, The New School 79 5th Avenue, 16th Floor New York, NY 10003 (map)

Join SolarSEED, Ace of Air, and Loop, as they share their stories and efforts in becoming pioneers of Design and the Circular Economy.

SolarSEED makes renewable energy more accessible and resilient by means of their innovative technology. By reducing cost and complexity, energy no longer has to be a luxury for locations suffering from energy insecurity and those beyond-the-grid.

Ace of Air is a certified B Corp that provides vegan, fair-trade, cruelty-free beauty and wellness products. Moreover, their packaging is entirely reusable, making it a zero-waste brand.

Loop is a global, zero-waste packaging movement. Rather than selling products and the single use packaging they come in, they lend their products in durable, reusable containers that are easily returned for replacements.

Presented by The School of Constructed Environments at Parsons School of Design.

Tiffany is the head of Design and Engineering at TerraCycle, a company that is on a mission to eliminate the idea of waste. Her team's work ranges from creating upcycled products out of hard-to-recycle materials, gamified recycling systems, and now durable packaging that can be reused 100 times or more. There’s a lot of garbage in this world and we’re doing our part to spread goodness through recycling and reuse.
