Welcome Back!

We would like to welcome all staff, students, and faculty back to our campus and we are looking forward to having a safe return! If you are looking for Covid-19 resources relating to campus return, you can find that here. We have a lot of exciting opportunities happening at the center this semester and while a lot of our engagement will be virtual, we still aim to be a resource for The New School community. Here are some highlights:

  • The Ripe for Creative Disruption EJMF Application Open! Group applications are now open for the Environmental Justice Movement Fellowship until September 26. Find out more here.

  • Student Awards and Faculty Grants will open soon! We will be releasing our grant opportunities in the next few weeks for students and faculty members. If you are a current student or faculty member, please email us at tedc@newschool.edu with the subject line (that applies to you) “ Fall 2021 Student/Faculty Grant Application Interest” and we will send it over to you when the application is open.

  • Climate Week 2021! We are in the process of creating an engaging series of events for Climate Week NYC . Keep an eye on the climate week site and our Events Page for updates.

  • Virtual meetings! We still want to hear from you and be a resource on environmental and climate justice along with talking to you about your goals at the university; be it hosting an event, getting advice on classes, connecting with sustainability practitioners or posting on the blog, you can email us at tedc@newschool.edu with the subject line “Virtual Appointment” to schedule something.

  • New Research! Check out our research page and keep an eye out for new research papers and tools

  • Open Positions! We have research assistant positions for this semester and you can keep an eye on them and apply here

  • Connect with us on Social! Have you followed us on Instagram, Twitter or watched any of our Youtube videos? If not, now is your chance!
