Kamrin Brito
Convenings Manager
Kamrin (she/her) is a social justice advocate originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. She brings over 15 years of social justice programming, operations, and event management to the team. She holds an undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies from UNLV and a Master's degree in Applied Theatre from CUNY’s School of Professional Studies.
At the Tishman Center, they support the nurturing of internal and established partnerships for collaboration, cross-organizational communication, and community building. They are continuously assessing the “how” of our convening planning and ensuring our internal and external ways of working are adhering to the Jemez Principles. Her approach to convenings is deeply rooted in gender, racial, and social justice. Kamrin holds a firm belief that how we bring people together is just as important as why we bring people together, and environmental justice work, like all social justice work, is inherently communal.
Kamrin is thrilled to be part of this exceptional team. She is looking forward to continually collaborating and pushing forward innovative ideas and creative approaches with her colleagues and community partners to sustain, enrich, and move towards collective liberation.
